Ann and Bill Gray, both members at Prescott, Arizona’s Capital Canyon Club, were enjoying a round of golf on Wednesday, July 10, when the craziest thing happened: They both aced No. 16!The hole is described as the course’s “signature hole, with a forced carry over a canyon to the putting surface (that) requires good distance control. Shots that miss the green will be a difficult up and down. The green slopes from back right to front left so stay below the hole.”
Of course, neither Ann nor Bill had to worry about any of that, as their shots both dropped into the cup. And yes, there were two witnesses to the rarity. Odds of two aces by a married couple on the same hole on the same day? Let’s call it one in 26 million.
