Benedetta Moresco Joins Team Troon
Scottsdale, Ariz. – Troon recently welcomed Italian golf sensation Benedetta Moresco to Team Troon, a collection of top international golf talent representing the Troon brand throughout professional golf.
Originally from Vicenza, Italy, Moresco turned professional following the European Ladies’ Team Championship in July 2023. Earlier that month, she was the low amateur at the U.S. Women’s Open at Pebble Beach Golf Links, finishing T37. Moresco is currently going through both the LPGA and Ladies European Tour qualifying process, recently finishing 12th in the first stage of LPGA Tour Qualifying in Palm Springs, Calif., and T25 in Stage 2 Qualifying in Venice, Fla. She now moves on to Stage 3 LPGA Q Series at Magnolia Grove Golf Course in Mobile, Ala., November 30th – December 5th.
“I am extremely happy to be a member of Team Troon,” Moresco said. “I am grateful to be joining the Troon family and for them to believe in me and my abilities. The excitement and the hospitality I received were unmatched, and I look forward to this long-lasting relationship. I can’t wait to expand the brand and represent Troon on tour.”
Moresco is joined on Team Troon by LPGA Tour golfer Yealimi Noh; PGA TOUR golfers Justin Thomas, Gary Woodland, Matt Kuchar, Matthew Fitzpatrick, and Alex Noren; LIV golfer Bubba Watson; PGA TOUR Champions golfer and World Golf Hall of Famer Collin Montgomerie; and LPGA Tour/Ladies European Tour player Cheyenne Woods. The Troon logo has a presence on each golfer’s golf bag, while Woods and Fitzpatrick carry full Troon-branded golf bags embroidered on the pockets.
While competing in the U.S. Open, Moresco had Pebble Beach caddie Chris Rose loop for her. The two worked so well together that Rose will serve as her professional caddie moving forward. Rose had been serving as independent contractor caddie for Troon-owned CADDIEMASTER, which manages caddie operations at Pebble Beach.
“We are thrilled to welcome Benedetta to Team Troon. I met and got to know her at the U.S. Women’s Open at Pebble and walked away impressed by her talent and personality,” said Troon President and CEO Tim Schantz. “We are also excited for Pebble Beach Golf Resort’s own Chris (Rose) as well, as he is such a great caddie. Together they make a great team.”
“It’s sincerely an honor and a privilege to be ‘Benny’s’ caddie,” said Rose. “Team Troon just added a great new member and ambassador. Our relationship on the course clicked from our very first practice round together. Her talent was evident right away and I’m very excited to be part of her future in professional golf. I firmly believe she has all the makings for a long and successful career.”
Moresco attended the University of Alabama where she was a highly decorated athlete, including:
- WGCA Second Team All-America (2022)
- SEC Scholar Athlete of the Year (2022)
- First Team All-SEC (2022)
